What We Do

DeSoto Pediatric Extended Care is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC), that provides skilled nursing care and therapies to medically fragile and/or technology-dependent children, infancy to age 21, for up to 10 hours a day. DeSoto Pediatric Extended Care is located in Southaven, MS, and proudly cares for children in Desoto and surrounding counties. If your child attends school, we will work with the school system to make sure all services available are received.

Our loving staff treats each child with respect and provides daily skilled pediatric nursing care along with physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy in a fun and interactive environment. A doctor’s prescribed order is required for our services. Contact our highly skilled team today to learn more about eligibility. Our compassionate team will work with your pediatrician and insurance to complete the approval process. If approved by insurance, there may be no out of pocket cost to you for our care. DeSoto Pediatric Extended Care accepts Medicaid, Mississippi CAN, Magnolia Health, Molina Healthcare, United Healthcare and more.

*Upon approval, Mississippi Medicaid fully covers the cost of care.
